Hi there Mindy! Now whenever I want to see your sweet face, all I have to do is go to OUR blog, the ArtSisters of 4E!

Try number 2

Ok, figured it out. Now we can have a different viewpoint. Also added a bit more visual interest. Oh my, some of us did have fun at Artfest.

She Project

Sorry for the sideways photos. Created the art, but can't get it upright on the blog!
This is the piece I did last night for the "She Project". My phrase was "She found her song". Maybe Liz, Roberta, and Max can post their pieces also?

Bumpy Surface Painting

Here's where that paper collage is going now. At first it was hard to cover it up, but then inspired by Matisse to go on, here's my work in progress. The textures do add some funny areas, talk about vericose veins on this poor girl!

More Hawaii

Coco was quite busy bird watching, enjoying afternoon cocktails, lap swimming, relaxing in the pool with friends, and working on her journal pages. Always something to do!

Coco

Ok - As the computer idiot of the group, this is good practice for me. We'll see if Coco really appears on the blog site. She was so happy in Hawaii, as you can see. Met lots of new friends, went fun places, ate good food. Anyone get pictures of her at Artfest?

Bumpy canvas, meet Matisse

I took Ann Bagby at her word. She gave us 'homework'...go forth and make bumpy paper....So I made bumpy CANVAS, in the hopes that it would inspire me to paint. So far, so good. Here's the prep, then painted, and currently becoming a nude in chair, inspired by Matisse (not me, the canvas!)

My bags are packed

I have long wanted a suitcase just like this one! And there it was, in Centralia, in the store "Cheap Junk". Cheap, yes. Junk, hardly! Especially after I got it home and put all my wonderful Cavallini papers on it, as well as some lovely foreign currency. She's ready for a journey.

Endless Love Love Love

Rubberta gave Liz and I an extra assignment this month. The folks at 7Gypsies sent Rubber Stamp Madness a sampling of themed kits and Roberta gave us each one to go home and play with. Mine was appropriately all about Love! Hey it's Valentines Day and lucky for Seaton, I got this out of my system. Here's some photos of an expanding book, for all those romantics out there in the audience. All the papers, ribbons, labels, stamps (rose) and charms courtesy of 7 Gypsies. And if anyone wants to play, I have leftovers!..... Joanne

Art Sisters of House 4E

Looking forward to 'seeing' more of you here at Art House 4E. Today Roberta, Liz and Joanne met for lunch at American Dream—a lovely time. And of course, the passing of the projects: Shannons to Liz; Kari's to Joanne and Sarahs to Kari. Always a treat to open the box!

This weekend, Liz tells us that she and Shannon are off to Mexico for the Lynne Perrella/Ann Bagby workshop for 10 wonderful days. Perhaps they will send us a virtual postcard. Oh what fun you will have, you two.

cheers, Jo

Welcome to our new ArtFest blog!

It's January and the countdown to March is on. Here's an alternative gathering place for all of us when we are not 'at home' in Port Townsend. I'll try and add everyone's name to this, so we can all post photos and entries. Love to you all, Joanne
